How has playing hockey as a lifelong sport helped you to become a better person?
A "Better person"? Are we still talking about Tonka Hockey players? Ha! Perhaps more well-rounded. I was fortunate to coach youth hockey at Minnetonka for 6 years following college (99-04), which is a perspective that ALL players should experiece. It taught me that this is a "game" and not "life" as we once thought. At 33, I still play twice a week in 2 competitive men's leagues. I have used my hockey to meet and play with potential clients and life-long friends. I remain passionate for Hockey in its purist forms = high school and college. Although an avid Minnesota Wild fan, it's not the same as Minnesota-grown hockey. The memories I have of my days at Minnetonka High are always Grand. From watching the studs like the Walshs, Hanus' and Jeccas and then playing with the McHughs, Callanans and Goldworthys - I was fortunate to be able to play with my friends and teammates.

Who do you think is the Greatest Hockey player to come out of Minnetonka High School?
Tim Hanus - '88
